We are twin sisters, Natalie and Valerie, hence the first part of our name, Twinny. We offer innovative, alternative dips (not the average guacamole and salsa), and hence the second part of our name, Dip. There you have it, TwinnyDip!
We have always loved cooking, but what got us started was when one of our recipes Pea Hummus with Lemon Thyme featured on the Guardian 'Readers' Recipe Swap'. Our objective is to provide people with innovative, alternative and healthy dips. We created both vegan and non-vegan dips, examples of which include pea hummus (peas, almond butter and lemon thyme), the CCC dip (carrot, coconut milk and cashew nuts), and smoked mackerel pate (smoked mackerel, cream cheese and parsley), to name but a few. We also want to share our cooking ideas and serving suggestions with our customers. For example, you can use our Aubergine Amok as a delicious sauce base to a chicken or vegetable curry; or spread our mushroom pate generously on puff pastry, sprinkle some cheese on top to make it a light lunch.
TwinnyDip officially started trading on Sunday 17th November at Brick Lane, just off Grimsby Street, and we will be trading every other Sunday. So come down to try out some delicious dips!
